FARGO (KFGO) – A Dilworth man is accused of stabbing his father in the chest during an argument at an apartment in Dilworth late Tuesday night.
The stabbing was reported just before midnight at an apartment on 5th St. NW.
Interim Police Chief Hunter Rawson says the victim suffered a clean cut, penetrating chest wound. He was transported to the emergency department at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, where he was later discharged.
Rawson identified the suspect in the stabbing as 24-year-old Meredith Kingbird Jr., who is not in custody.
A search for him is underway. Clay County deputies, Moorhead Police and the State Patrol assisted with the initial search for Kingbird.
