Fergus Falls, Minn. (KBRF) – The Fergus Falls Veterans Home may have had their best Christmas ever thanks to two generous donations from Veterans Home R&R and the group behind the Boots On The Ground Veterans Motorcycle Fun Run.

Veteran’s Home R&R presented their donation of $42,500 on Dec. 15 to members of the veterans home.

According to the website, Veterans Home R&R is dedicated to raising money for the recreation funds in Minnesota state Veterans Homes. And by donating to the recreation funds, the group hopes to improve the quality of life for area veterans.

Adding, they want them to be able to partake in activities that would not otherwise be funded by the state.

The Boots On The Ground Veterans Motorcycle Fun Run also made their donation on Dec. 15. The group presented a check of $35,000 to staff members at the home; the proceeds from this year’s ride.
