Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – A Glenwood woman was killed in two-vehicle crash on Highway 55 in Pope County on Sunday night.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on Dec. 24 at 7:57 p.m., a 2003 Honda Pilot, driven by 18-year-old Preston Linder of Willmar, was eastbound on Highway 55 when it collided with a 2010 Toyota Yarris, driven by 57-year-old Michelle Lee Kliber of Glenwood, near mile marker 77 in Chippewa Falls Township.

Airbags deployed in both vehicles during the crash.

Kliber was pronounced dead at the scene.

Linder suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the incident and was transported to Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood for treatment.

The state patrol stated road conditions were wet at the time of the crash.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts during the collision and law enforcement determined alcohol in Kliber’s system may have contributed to the incident.
