6 people from Lerado, Texas injured in Interstate 94 crash Saturday afternoon

Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – Six people from Laredo, Texas were injured in a single-vehicle rollover Wilkin County on Saturday afternoon.

According to the state patrol, a 2006 Chevrolet Van, driven by 23-year-old Jose Luis Ramos was eastbound on Interstate 94 at mile marker 31 when the vehicle left the roadway and rolled over in a nearby ditch.

Ramos suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the crash, however, two occupants of the van 22-year-old Adam Riley Bueno and 60-year-old Ramon Lara, both of Lerado, Texas, suffered life-threatening injuries and were transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo for treatment.

Three other vehicle occupants in the van also reported non-life-threatening injuries and were also transported to the hospital.

Only two of the eight vehicle occupants were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash and law enforcement believes alcohol did not play a role in the incident.
