Moorhead, Minn (KDLM) – The Perham Cross Country team put the rest of the state on notice with a dominating performance at the Moorhead Dragon Twilight Invite at MSUM on Friday night. Junior Bjorn Anderson broke the school record that he set two weeks ago for his third win of the season in as many races. He finished the 5K race in 15:10 seconds to lead the Perham boys to a first place with 50 points…56 points ahead of second-place Moorhead.
Carter Flatau and Dylan Guck finished with tenth and eleventh place finishes, respectively, with Isaac Paurus not far behind in 13th place. Caden Doll finished 15th overall to give Perham 50 points.
On the girls side, Perham won the meet with a team score of 68, led by sophomore Gracie Morris’ sixth-place finish. Avalee Brown, Cora Gismer and Caidyn Breid finished in a pack with 12th, 13th, and 15th place finishes. Mia Lung finished 27th overall for the fifth-scoring Jacket.
The next big high school cross country meet is coming up on Thursday as Little Falls hosts the annual Lucky Lindy Invite. 26 teams are scheduled to compete.
