2 Motley residents injured in motorcycle-deer strike on Highway 10

Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – Two Motley residents were injured in motorcycle-deer crash on Saturday night.

On Aug. 26 at 7:37 p.m., at 2015 Honda Touring motorcycle was westbound on Highway 210, west of Motley, Minn., when it struck a deer near the County Road 1 intersection in Sylvan Township.

 

 

The driver of the motorcycle, 53-year-old Joseph Leonard Eischeid, and his passenger, 50-year-old Heather Ann Eischeid, both suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the collision and were transported to Lakewood Health in Staples for treatment.

Both riders were not wearing their helmets at the time of the crash and law enforcement believes alcohol does not appear to have played a role in the incident.
