(KDLM) – The State Baseball tournament begins today. In Class AA, unseeded Perham will take on three-seed Foley at 12:30 this afternoon at Dick Putz Field in St. Cloud. You can hear that game on The Lakes 99.5 as well as the Lakes Area Radio app. The other games in 2A are #2 Fairmont vs Belle Plaine (10:00a), St. Agnes vs #1 Esko (3:00p), and #5 Holy Family Catholic vs #4 Cannon Falls (5:30p).
In Class A, the Fosston Greyhounds are the five seed in the tournament and will face Legacy Christian Academy at 6:00 tonight. #2 New Ulm will play Yellow Medicine (10:30a), Hinkley-Finlayson gets #3 Lyle-Pacelli (1:00), and B-B-E faces #1 South Ridge (3:30). Those games are all at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud.
The Class AAA games are played at the Mini Met in Jordan. Grand Rapids plays #2 St. Thomas Academy (10:00a), Byron vs #3 Mahtomedi (12:30p), Little Falls plays #1 New Prague (3:00p), and #5 Benilde-St. Margaret’s will play #4 Monticello (5:30p).
In Class AAAA, it’s Lakeville South vs #2 East Ridge (10:00a), Mounds View vs #3 Minnetonka (1:00), Sartell vs #1 Rosemount (4:30p), and #5 Anoka vs #4 Edina (7:30p).
This year’s state championship games will all be played at CHS Field in St. Paul on Friday.
