Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – A Saint Cloud man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Highway 15 in Saint Cloud on Saturday.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on June 10 at 2:14 p.m., a Saint Cloud police officer noticed three motorcycles travelling at a high rate of speed on Highway 15 and attempted to pull the motorcycles over, but was unable catch up to the bikes to do so because of the high rate of speed.
All three motorcycles attempted to exit onto 33rd Street South in Saint Cloud when one of the bikes lost control and veered off the roadway.
The driver of the motorcycle, 25-year-old Jacob Charles Olson of Saint Cloud, struck a guardrail and needed to be transported to St. Cloud Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.
