Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – The Minnesota Department of Transportation needed to make emergency repairs to a section of Highway 10, near Airport Road in Detroit Lakes, on Sunday because the pavement buckled due to high temperatures.
In a news release, the state transportation agency said the buckling has been known to occur with temperature changes in moderate to extreme heat.
Traffic along the roadway was temporarily diverted to the shoulder until the repairs could be completed.
