Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – Roadwork that was scheduled to begin today on Highway 34 between Detroit Lakes and Osage has been postponed until June 15.
According to Minnesota Department of Transportation news release, the construction project was postponed due a change in the contractor’s schedule, but the project is still set to be completed by mid-October.
The 21-mile resurfacing and replacement project area on Highway 34 will be between County Road 29, east of Detroit Lakes, and County 26/47, just west of Osage.
Construction crews are expected to begin near the Toad Lake area along the highway and replace nearby culverts.
Road resurfacing is tentatively scheduled for early August with crews expected to complete about five miles of roadway per week.
