One injured in Clay County crash on Highway 32

Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – A Texas man was injured in a single-vehicle crash in Clay County on Thursday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on June 1 at 9:25 a.m., emergency dispatchers received a report of a vehicle crash with possible injuries in Parke Township.

43-year-old Patrick Tchizige Munigwa, of Houston, Texas was travelling south on Highway 32 at 60th Avenue in a Sprinter van when the vehicle left the roadway.

Airbags deployed in the van during the crash.

Munigwa suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo for treatment.

Munigwa was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and alcohol is not believed to have played a role in the crash.
