Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – The Detroit Lakes City Council will be holding a public hearing during their special meeting on Wednesday, May 24 concerning road improvements in the Willow Springs neighborhood.
The project will be a street improvement project only after members of Willow Springs objected to plans to add sewer and water utilities to the proposal during a meeting in summer 2021.
At the time, residents believed, due to the larger lot sizes in their area of the city, the special assessments would be too high for many of the residents to afford.
The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. on Wednesday at the Becker County Courthouse.
