Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – An Ottertail couple suffered non-life threatening injuries during a single-vehicle crash that struck a home off Highway 108 on Sunday.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on May 21 at 9:19 a.m., emergency dispatchers were alerted to motor vehicle crash with injuries in Rush Lake Township.
A Ford F-150 pickup was travelling northbound on Highway 78 when the vehicle left the roadway and entered the roadside ditch. The vehicle then struck a tree, nearby fence and residence before coming to a stop.
The occupants of the pickup, 73-year-old Wilford Timothy Nordholm and 71-year-old Mary Louise Nordholm, were both transported to Perham Hospital with unknown injuries.
Both Nordholm’s were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Airbags did not deploy during the incident and alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the crash.
