Fergus Falls steel fabricator receives $160,000 business expansion grant from DEED

Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – SCR Solutions of Fergus Falls received a $160,000 business expansion grant from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.

In a May 9 news release, the agency said SCR Solutions was one of eight recipients of the grant, which is funded through the Minnesota Job Creation Fund (JCF) and the Minnesota Investment Fund (MIF).

The agency also said the eight grant recipients will create 337 jobs over the next two years due to the grant funding.

SCR Solutions designs and fabricates steel equipment for the food processing industry.

With the grant, the company said they expect to add an additional 10,000 square feet to the current facility in Fergus Falls.

The total cost of their proposed expansion project is $1 million and the company said they expect to add eight additional jobs over the next three years.
