Detroit Lakes, Minn. (KDLM) – Twenty-eight students from Rossman and Roosevelt Elementary in Detroit Lakes participated in the Math Master competition in Moorhead on April 20, according to the Detroit Lakes Tribune.
Overall, five Detroit Lakes students took home awards as part of the speed and individual rounds of the math competition with one of the Rossman Elementary teams taking home first prize in the team competition.
Students winning awards included:
- Oliver Zima (10th speed round)
- Keoni Gomez (6th speed round)
- Jacob Longfield (5th speed round, 5th individual round)
- Cael McDonald (3rd speed round, 4th individual round)
- David Trowbridge (2nd speed round)
The first place team in the team competition from Rossman Elementary included:
- Zoey Isakson
- Jaimee Stillman
- Micah Haus
- Jacob Longfield
