FARGO (KFGO) – Area rivers are starting to fall but there is still plenty of flood water around. The Fargo Park District wants to remind residents that parks and trails along the Red River are underwater in portions of the multi-use trail system as well as the lower sections of the riverfront parks.

The parks and trails along the river will remain closed until flood levels subside and flood cleanup is completed.  The park closure includes Dike East Park and Dog Park, Holm Park, Lindenwood Park, Lions Conservancy Park, Oak Grove Park, Trefoil Park, Wildflower Park, and Jack Williams Stadium.

City Public Works has removed the temporary flood wall from the 1st Avenue Bridge and other temporary walls that were installed last week are also being taken down.
