Lakes 99.5’s Dave Howey Among Honorees At 2023 Perham Area Chamber Choice Awards

PERHAM, MN (KDLM) – Lakes 99.5 Program Director Dave Howey was one of six honorees at the 2023 Perham Area Chamber Choice Awards on Thursday, April 13th.

Howey, who has worked at the Lakes 99.5 since 1998, was presented with The Volunteer Award, which is given to a person or group who gives of their time to volunteer and help others.

Dave and his wife Jennifer, who celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary last summer, have been active in the Perham community since moving here with their family 24 years ago. They are active members of New Creation Lutheran Church where Dave donates his time to assist with web design, social media, worship service presentation, live-streaming, Praise Team and various committees. Through the years, he has served his communities emceeing various community events including the chamber’s summer Turtle Races as well as on stage and behind the scenes of various Perham Community plays and musicals. Dave also has an afternoon Perham School District bus route.
