WADENA, MN (KDLM/KPRW) – The Dairy Queen in Wadena, which has been temporarily closed while looking for new owners, has been purchased by Nick Doll of Staples.
Doll also owns and operates the Dairy Queen locations in Staples and Little Falls.
Doll is planning a major renovation of the Wadena store, which includes adding a drive-thru
“You won’t recognize it when we’re done,” says Doll.
Doll is ordering all new restaurant equipment and materials for the big remodel, and hopes to re-open the store near the end of the summer.
Doll is a fourth-generation Dairy Queen owner. His father, Dave, also owned the Taco John’s in Wadena, which was located next to the Holiday Station Store.
