MOORHEAD, MN (KDLM) – The Board of Trustees of State Colleges and Universities has named Timothy Downs the new president of Minnesota State University-Moorhead.
Downs will take over the position on July 1.
He is currently serving as Interim Chief of Staff at Cal Poly Humboldt in northern California. From 2016 to 2021, Downs was president and CEO of Northern State University in Aberdeen where he led a $62 million capital campaign.
Downs will succeed the current president, Anne Blackhurst, who announced she would retire after nearly ten years at MSUM.
