Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – Lakes Processing of Detroit Lakes were big winners at this year’s Minnesota Meat Convention, coming away with two grand champion awards, a champion award, two reserve champion awards and a blue ribbon.
Lakes Processing, which is family-owned and operated by the Bachman family, won Grand Champion awards for Becker County’s Finest Summer Sausage and their Fresh Maple Brats. Their Lumberjack Brat won the title of champion, and their Raspberry Chipotle Bacon and Sweet Cheddar Sticks won reserve champion titles. Their Jambalaya Brat also won a blue ribbon.
Lakes Processing is located on Highway 59 north of Detroit Lakes.
