Thielen recorded 534 catches for 6,682 yards and 55 touchdowns in 135 games with the Vikings. He caught 70 passes for 716 yards and six touchdowns last season.
The Panthers were in the market for a veteran wide receiver after trading DJ Moore to the Chicago Bears in a package for the top overall pick in the upcoming draft. Carolina has also been working on re-tooling the offense by adding running back Miles Sanders, tight end Hayden Hurst, and backup quarterback Andy Dalton.
The Panthers finished 7-10 last season, but were only a game behind 8-9 Tampa Bay for the NFC South Division title.
