OTTERTAIL, MN (KDLM) – The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, Otter Tail Lakes Country Association and Special Olympics Minnesota are excited to host the Polar Plunge on Otter Tail Lake on February 4th, 2023.
Organizers have set a goal to raise $75,000 for Special Olympic athletes. The Polar Plunge is the biggest fundraiser for Special Olympics Minnesota.
“In just 3 years, we have raised $190,000 for Special Olympics,” Otter Tail County Sheriff Barry Fitzgibbons said. “I am very proud of this event and honored to be a part of it. Please consider ‘taking the plunge’ or donating to someone that is.”
“If jumping into a frozen lake isn’t your thing that is okay you can still participate by donating or signing up to raise donations,” says Otter Tail County Association Marketing Director Marie Noplos. “We have more than 1,800 Special Olympics athletes in Minnesota that are counting on us!”
