Detroit Lakes High School Offering Free Student-Led Preschool This Spring

Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – Detroit Lakes High School is offering free morning preschool to a limited number of 4 and 5-year-olds in March.

The Little Laker Preschool will be a teaching opportunity for DLHS students interested in pursuing a career in early childhood education, offering a chance to receive hands-on experience caring for and teaching young children as a part of the DLHS curriculum.

The student-led preschool will offer enrichment activities for the young students in literacy, math, phy ed, science, art, and life skills.

The class runs from 8:15 to 11:00 Wednesday and Thursday mornings from March 16th to May 18th at the high school. Breakfast will be provided for the preschool students.

Space is limited for this opportunity. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, March 1st.
