FOLEY, MN (KDLM) – The Detroit Lakes Dance team traveled to Foley for a seven-team invite on Saturday and came away with first place in the jazz category and third place in kick…which is the highest placement for kick this season
“Kick actually tied for second,” said coach Britton Ramsey. “But we lost the tie-breaker and dropped to third. Last week, we tied with Alexandria for third place and lost that tie-breaker too and placed fourth.”
The Laker jazz team won the meet with a ranking point total of 3, while the kick team tied with Little Falls with a ranking point total of 7, one point behind Alexandria for first place.
The Laker Dance team will host their Laker Dance Show Monday night at the Lakeshirts Fieldhouse, then hit the road for back-to-back meets with the MidState Conference Championship in Crosby-Ironton on Friday, and an 8 am in St. Michael-Albertville on Saturday.
