Detroit Lakes Dances Takes Second in Class AA Jazz At Laker Invite; Frazee Wins Class A Jazz

DETROIT LAKES, MN (KDLM) – The Detroit Lakes Dance took second place in the Class AA/AAA Jazz category at their Laker Invite at the Lakeshirts Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon.

The Lakers finished the meet with a ranking point total of 7, ahead of section opponent ROCORI (8) and four points behind defending section champion Sauk Rapids-Rice (3).

The Laker High Kick team finished in fourth place behind Sauk Rapids-Rice (3), ROCORI (6), and Bemidji (11).

In Class A, the Frazee Fly Girls won the Jazz competition with a ranking point total of 5. Crosby-Ironton was second with a 6.5, and Minnewaska was third with a 9.5. C-I won the kick competition with a ranking point total of 3, ahead of Minnewaska (7) and Crookston (11).

The Lakers travel to Becker for another invite this Saturday, December 17th.
