HAWLEY (KDLM) – The Hawley Nuggets Girl’s Basketball Season opened with a 55-34 win over NCE/UH Titans on Thursday night in Hawley.
The game started with a 7-0 run for the Nuggets, before the Titans went up 9-7. Hawley got the next four points and did not look back as they went to 1-0 on the young year. Izzy Steer had 18 to lead the way, with sister Anna also in double digits with 13. Izzy was the Muscatell Burns Ford MVP of the game.
Jerran Madison lead the Titans with 11. NCE/UH is 0-2 on the year. Hawley is at Ada-Borup West with a Doubleheader Friday night. Girls at 6pm and the Boys Season opener at 7:30pm on KRCQ.
