FARGO, ND (KDLM) – A three-vehicle accident involving a school bus was reported in South Fargo yesterday morning. The incident reportedly happened around 9 am near the intersection of 25th street south and 36th avenue. The bus, which had been used to drop off students at Fargo Davies High School, didn’t have any students on board.

Investigators say the driver of a northbound Jeep stopped to make a left-hand turn into a gas station when it was rear-ended by the bus and was pushed into oncoming traffic. The jeep was struck by a southbound Ford Explorer. The jeep overturned and ejected the driver of the jeep. 31-year-old Timothy Gruchow of West Fargo was transported by FM Ambulance to Essentia Health with serious injuries.

31-year-old Evon Wilson of Fargo, who was driving the Explorer, also sustained serious injuries and was taken by FM Ambulance to Sanford Medical Center.

The school bus driver has been identified as 66-year-old Rose Schlaht of Fargo. She was not injured in the crash. Possible criminal charges are under review.

The intersection was closed for two hours for investigation and cleanup.
