Section 8A Swim and Dive To Split Meet With Weather Concerns; Diving Wednesday in Park Rapids

(KDLM) – It’s not fall sports playoff season without a schedule adjustment made due to weather concerns.

The diving portion of the Section 8A Swim and Dive Meet has been moved to Park Rapids tomorrow due to the possibility of hazardous travel conditions on Thursday and Friday.

“The changes were made to allow for more flexibility and later departure times to get to Warroad,” Detroit Lakes activities director Rob Nielsen told KDLM. “It’ll allow a little more scheduling flexibility this weekend with the potential weather coming.”

The Swim portion of the section meet will still take place in Warroad on Friday and Saturday.

Section 8A includes Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Fosston/Bagley/Crookston, Park Rapids, Perham/New York Mills/Henning, Thief River Falls, and BGMR/Roseau/Warroad.
