Hawley Volleyball Upsets Perham will play in Sub-Section Final

PERHAM (KDLM) – In the Section 8AA South Sub-Section Semifinals, the 3rd Seed Hawley Nuggets upended the #2 Seed Perham Yellowjackets in Perham, 3-0.

Taking the first set 25-20. Perham had the Early lead but Hawley tied it at 7 and went on 18-13 run to get the set. The Second set began with a few ties and again tied at 7, when Hawley went on a 18-9 run to take a 2-0 lead in the best of Five matchup. Hawley controlled the third set, until Perham made a 7-0 run to get to within 23-20. After a Hawley timeout, the Nuggets got the final two point to win 25-20 and advance to the Sub-Section Championship, Thursday at 7pm on KRCQ.

The Barnesville/DGF winner will play Hawley. Senior leader Anna Steer was the Muscatell Burns Ford MVP of the game.

Section 8AA Football on Saturday 10/29 will feature Frazee at Barnesville at 2pm on KRCQ.
