Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – Detroit Lakes senior Ben Hines is going to be a Jimmy.
Hines made the announcement on Twitter on Thursday, saying he will be a two-sport athlete at the University of Jamestown next fall.
Hines tallied 20 points for the Laker hockey season last year (11 goals, 9 assists) in 25 games, scoring on 73% of the shots he put on goal, helping the Lakers to a 19-5-2 record and a #3 seed in the Section 8A tournament.
Hines is also a stand-out golfer for DLHS and recently took fourth place at the 2022 Jimmie College Showcase in late July.
I am super excited to announce my commitment to play hockey and golf for the University of Jamestown! I’d like to thank my parents and coaches for helping me along the way but I’d also like to thank god for blessing me with this opportunity! @uj_jimmiesgolf @UJMensHockey pic.twitter.com/6wayzUFpXn
