PERHAM (KDLM) – A ransomware attack, Tuesday left thousands of Arvig customers without internet, phone and tv services.
Approximately 60,000 customers across the state were affected after a failed ransomware attack according to Arvig. Despite the failed attack, the attackers were still able to disrupt service for more than three hours, Tuesday.
The company does not believe any customer or employee data was obtained during the attack. Arvig is investigating the attack and a forensic analysis is being conducted to validate that the threat was mitigated.
