DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Lakes Area law enforcement are competing to benefit local students.
The Becker County Sheriff’s Office, Detroit Lakes Police Department, Frazee Police Department and Lake Park Police Department have launched their Battle of the Badges encouraging residents to donate needed items including underwear, socks, personal hygiene items as well as gift cards and cash.
Items will then be donated to local students in need.
Items can be donated at various drop off locations including the Becker County Sheriff’s Office, Detroit Lakes Police Department and Frazee and Lake Park City Halls through November 30th. The Department that collects the most items will receive a traveling trophy.
