Hawley Closes Out Regular Season with Victory over Pelican Rapids

PELICAN RAPIDS (KDLM) – The Hawley Nuggets closed out the regular season with a three set Volleyball victory over the Pelican Rapids Vikings, Tuesday night in Pelican Rapids.

In a very close first set, which had 13 ties, the last at 19, Hawley finished it off on a 6-3 run to take it 25-22. The second and third sets saw Hawley opening an early lead and finished the three set victory 25-17, 25-13. Hawley will end the season at 16-10 and Pelican Rapids falls to 7-13.

Senior Anna Steer was the Muscatell Burns Ford MVP of the game. Seeding for Section 8AA will take place late this week, with the Post Season beginning next Wednesday 10/26.

Football for Hawley will wrap up their regular season 10/19 on KRCQ 102.3 at 7pm at Barnesville in the Battle for Lee’s Paddle. It will also be Tackle Cancer night in Barnesville.
