DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Gas prices are on the rise after recent declines.
The latest data from AAA shows the average price for regular-unleaded in Minnesota is $3.68 a gallon, that’s three cents a gallon higher than it was a week ago.
The cheapest gas on average in Minnesota is in Pipestone County at $3.47, gas in the Lakes Area is hovering around $3.78.
President Joe Biden in March set a plan to release 1 million barrels of oil from the National Strategic Petroleum Reserves per day over six months to tackle high U.S. fuel prices, the country’s oil reserves are now at their lowest point since the 1980s. The current program is scheduled to end in October.
