Detroit Lakes Volleyball Sweeps Crosby-Ironton and Remains Undefeated

DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The Laker volleyball team put together another dominant performance on Thursday night, defeating Crosby-Ironton in straight sets 25-13, 25-13, and 25-13. The victory at Lakeshirts Fieldhouse in Detroit Lakes keeps DL’s undefeated season going and they have still yet to lose a single set this season.

The Lakers were led in kills by Jalynn Gunderson, who finished the game with 14. Junior Ava Jones led the team in assists with 30, and senior Sadie Stroeing finished the game with five aces and two blocks.

The Lakers improved their record to 5-0 on the season and will look to continue their winning ways when they compete in a tournament on Saturday in Hawley. The Hawley tournament will feature seven other teams from around the area. Following the regular season tournament on Saturday, Detroit Lakes will face their most formidable opponent thus far when they battle Moorhead on Monday night on the road.
