VERGAS (KDLM) – A Level 3 Predatory Offender, who had been planning to relocate to rural Vergas this Friday has changed his plans.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says they have received information that George Joseph Hecker will no longer be relocating to the vicinity of Co Hwy 130 in rural Vergas.
Representatives from the Minnesota Department of Corrections and the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office were planning to hold a Community Notification meeting in Vergas on Thursday to answer any questions on public safety or other concerns, that meeting has now been cancelled.
Hecker was convicted for second-degree criminal sexual conduct in 2005 and in 2010 for possession of pornographic works by a registered predatory offender. Hecker engaged in separate incidents of sexual contact with a known teen-aged female.
A Level 3 predatory offender is considered most at risk of re-offending.
