DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Tuesday’s Minnesota Primary has set the stage for the Becker County Board races in November’s General Election.
Craig Hall and Erica Jepson will be on the ballot in November competing for a Commissioner seat in Becker County District 1. Hall received 40.68% of the votes, while Jepson secured 30.93%. Tim Clements, who was also running received 28.39% of the votes. The top two vote getters will appear on the ballot during November’s General Election.
Commissioner Larry Knutson, who has represented District 1 for a number of years did not file for reelection this year.

In District 2, Incumbent Ben Grimsley secured a spot on the November ballot, but will face a tough challenger in David Meyer. Meyer received 27.90% percent of the votes, Tuesday, while Grimsley received 32.32%. Darin Halvorson and Steven D Walz had also challenged for a spot on the ballot, but fells short with Halvorson collecting 23.38% of the votes and Walz with 16.40%.
