DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – After a hazy day Wednesday in the Lakes Area, the National Weather Service says Thursday should be much improved.
Smoke from Canadian wildfires moved into the region Wednesday morning. The National Weather Service says the smoke will linger and be noticeable throughout the afternoon.
Canada’s western provinces are dealing with a number of wildfires caused by warmer and drier weather. Wildfire smoke is a health concert particularly to people with asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), or heart disease, as well as children and pregnant women.
