(KDLM/MNN) – Amazon’s Prime Day, Prime Day, the company’s annual deal event exclusively for Prime members is Tuesday and Wednesday, but the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Minnesota is reminding consumers to shop smart.

Amazon and several retailers like Target, Wal-mart and Kohl’s are offering great deals. The BBB’s Bao Vang says just be careful and watch out for phishing scams, misleading advertisements and lookalike websites, “Consumers like you and me. We just cannot resist a sale and scammers know that they know our emotions are running high at this moment. So BBB is just offering some caution so you don’t get caught up in the excitement that you fall for a scam that will take your hard-earned money and personal identity.”

Vang says look closely at the fine print and be sure any unsolicited offers are from legitimate businesses.
