DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The city of Detroit Lakes is reminding residents and vacationers that construction activity will close portions of West Lake Drive from County Road 6 to the Pelican River beginning Tuesday, July 12.
West Lake Drive between Legion Road and Long Bridge Road, will be closed to thru traffic and restricted to local access traffic. Construction activity will be located on West Lake Drive, between County Road 6 and the Pelican River, and the eastern end of County Road 6.
Construction and roadway closures will continue until early November as construction crews complete the street and utility reconstruction project.
The city does plan to temporarily reopen the roadway July 29th through August 7th to accommodate WE Fest traffic.
