Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) -The second annual Roadhouse Celebrity Golf Classic will be held at Forest Hills Golf Course in Detroit Lakes this Saturday, July 9th.
10 former Vikings players will be on the course including Paul Krause, Stu Voigt, Ed McDaniel, Rickey Young, Henry Thomas, Carl Lee, Mark Mullaney, Erin Henderson, and more.
“It’s a fun event,” says organizer Tony Ortloff. “What makes it a little bit different is it really gives you a chance to meet these guys up close and personal. They’ll be out on the course…some of them might tee off with you, some might chip and putt with you, and some might just shake your hand. Paul Krause, for example, is in his 80s now. But he’ll still be out there having some fun.”
The Roadhouse Celebrity Golf Classic is a four-person scramble event with all proceeds benefiting Lakes Crisis and Resource Center.
Registration begins at 10 with a shotgun start at 11. A meal will follow the event at the Roadhouse in Cormorant with live music with Tripping Leslie at 9:30.
The $600/team registration gets you 18 holes of golf with carts, an event t-shirt, the meal at The Roadhouse plus the meet and greet with the Vikings players. There will also be cash prizes for the Top 3 teams and course prizes for longest drive, longest putt, and closest to the pin.
