
A home on Curry Ave. in Detroit Lakes that has been ordered by the city to remove all but one sign from the property.
DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The city of Detroit Lakes has cited a Detroit Lakes property owner and their tenant for violating the city’s sign and nuisance ordinances.
Hand-painted signs are displayed on private property along Curry Ave. with claims including, ‘I KNOW DA CURE 4 MUFFIN TOP, BODY ODOR, AND SKIN CANCER’ and ‘THE CURE IS PURE MAPLE SYRUP’.
City ordinance allows for one sign on the property, the property owners and the tenant have until June 20 to bring the property into compliance
If the signs are up after June 20, the city could fine the owners and tenant $200 per day or a misdemeanor criminal citation.
