DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – R&G Subaru in Detroit Lakes has donated more than $20,000 to the Lincoln Education Center and Detroit Lakes Public Schools.
The Lakes Area car dealership participates each year in the ‘Share the Love Event’ where $250 is donated to charity for each new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased.
This year R&G Subaru raised $24,013 to support the Lincoln Education Center Early Childhood programs.
“We are so honored to have received this generous donation,” said Community Education Director Dan McGonigle. “Drew (Larson) and Matt (Field) are such a vital asset to our community. We appreciate them thinking of us.”
McGonigle said that preliminary plans for the monies will be to provide a mobility swing for special education students, as well as some additional toys and equipment to benefit and promote learning amongst the three and four year-olds at Lincoln.
Over the last 13 years, Subaru and its participating retailers have donated more than $200 million to charity.
