OTTER TAIL LAKE (KDLM) – The 17th Annual Reel Country Classic two-day fishing tournament kicks off today on Otter Tail Lake.
The event, which is hosted by KRCQ and Leighton Broadcasting has been a favorite of professional anglers as well as hobbyists from all corners of the state.
Tony Mariotti, the tournament coordinator says this is one the premier fishing tournaments in the state, “We do our best to make sure this is a very effective catch and release tournament…and we’ve worked really hard this year to bring in some bigger sponsorships – this is a $10,000 walleye tournament.”
This year, the tournament will be headquartered at Beach Bums Bar & Eatery on Otter Tail Lake with in person weigh ins and spectators welcome.
