WHITE EARTH (KDLM) – The United States Secretary of Veterans Affairs will make a stop in Bemidji on Friday, May 20 to tour the VA Clinic and meet with area veterans
Secretary Denis McDonough participated in a zoom call with White Earth Nation Veterans and Tribal Council in March of 2022 and the veterans invited him to travel to Greater Minnesota so they could meet him in person.
After the Secretary tours the VA Clinic, he will speak with veterans in a town hall meeting from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at the Eagles Club in Bemidji.
The event will open up with White Earth Tribal Veterans and other invited tribal veterans marching in with the flags and Eagle Staffs.
