May 6, 2022 | 9:43 AM

DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Detroit Lakes High School will host their inaugural Senior Capstone Night of Celebration next week.

The Senior Capstone requires that students identify an issue that they care about; students then participate in action research culminating with their final presentation at the Capstone Night of Celebration. “The goal is for students to use many of the 21st century skills, such as collaboration, problem solving, interpersonal communication skills, perseverance and time management,” said Mike Labine with Detroit Lakes High School.

The event, which will be held on Monday, May 9 at Detroit Lakes High School from 6:30-8 p.m. will give local residents an opportunity to walk through Seniors’ Capstone displays and learn about each of their Capstone topics. The event is free and open to the public.
