Detroit Lakes Dollars For Scholars Awards Over $236,000 In Scholarships

Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – Detroit Lakes Dollars for Scholars awarded over $236,000 in scholarships to the Detroit Lakes High School Class of 2022.

“That is such a credit to this community, businesses, service clubs, and the alums that have all wanted to give back to the community and help these young men and women to get started on their post-secondary careers and college careers,” said Dr. Tom Seaworth, president of Detroit Lakes Dollars for Scholars. “We are very proud to present 172 scholarships to 82 recipients tonight,”

Detroit Lakes Dollars for Scholars is a nonprofit foundation that supports academic success right here in the Detroit Lakes community. As part of Scholarship America’s national network of locally-based, volunteer-driven Dollars for Scholars chapters, the Detroit Lakes chapter’s mission is to mobilize our community on behalf of postsecondary education success for our students.
