DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Over 60 Lakes Area employers will be recruiting new employees at the Detroit Lakes Area Job Fair, today.
The annual event, hosted by Rural MN CEP runs from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. inside the Kent Freeman Arena. Kelly Nowell with Rural MN CEP describes it as a job seekers buffet, “We have everything from construction, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, health care – I call it a job seekers buffet. A job seeker can come in and you have so many options, now’s the time to get out and talk to employers and find a job.”
Minnesota’s unemployment rate is the lowest its been since 1999, which means there are twice as many job openings as job seekers. That makes a it a great time for job seekers to find a new position says Nowell, “You have so many options, employers are a little more flexible and willing to try to work with your schedule.”
Job seekers are encouraged to bring their resumes and be prepared to interview on site.
