Wadena County Historical Society Receives Photographs from Rex McDonald Studio

WADENA (KDLM) – The Wadena County Historical Society has received a collection of photographs from the Rex McDonald Studio.

The nearly 100 year-old Wadena based photography business created the images, now housed in the archives of the Wadena County Historical Society over multiple decades by Rex McDonald, Sandford R. McDonald, Don Hoffmann, and Kimberly Woods who had all owned the business at one time.

Over 600 boxes of photos and negatives of the people, places and events of Wadena County, including many businesses in Wadena’s Historic Downtown Commercial District have been preserved.

The collection can be viewed at the Wadena County Historical Society, which is open by appointment, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
