(KDLM) – Last summer, Vikings legend and former Minnesota Supreme Court justice Alan Page was fighting for his right to become verified on Twitter. The social media platform sent Page a verification denial, saying that he wasn’t “notable enough” for verification on their platform.
Page is an NFL MVP and Hall of Famer, was Minnesota’s first Black Supreme Court justice, has received a Presidential Medal of Freedom award, and has a Minneapolis school named after him.
Page was finally given his blue checkmark in October.
Now, another former Vikings great is trying to become verified. Chuck Foreman, the 1973 NFC Offensive Rookie of the Year that helped revolutionize the game for the pass-catching back and helped the Vikings win three NFC Championships between 1973 and 1977, is trying to get his blue checkmark.
The five-time Pro Bowler took to Twitter on Monday to voice his disdain, and it sounds like it isn’t the first time that he’s tried to get verified:
Wish I could understand how I keep getting denied by twitter to be verified but yet bloggers, media members and others who cover me, request me on their shows or players who played less than i get a blue check mark!?
Just don’t get this pic.twitter.com/fMjWB2tMst

“Wish I could understand how I keep getting denied by Twitter,” Foreman writes. “Yet bloggers, media members, and others who cover me or request me on their shows, or players who played less than I get a blue checkmark?”
Foreman played eight NFL seasons, seven of them with Minnesota.
